I'm C.C. Corey, owner and instructor of C.C. Corey Jiu-jitsu  & MMA, A martial arts school in Palatka, Florida that teaches real self-defense and fighting techniques. I hold a 3rd degree black belt in Kawashi jiu-Jitsu under the late Gerrard Patalidis and a 1st degree black belt in Jeet Kune Do under Bob Chapman.

  I have taught classes in jiu-jitsu, MMA, and self-defense for 17 years and I feel that my instruction is unsurpassed in the area. The success of my top students have proven this. I teach in a relaxed manner and in a relaxed atmosphere. My students are treated as close friends and family.

  I believe in having fun in class, but I  also believe in hard work. My students will work harder and will be in better shape than students of other area martial

arts schools and they will become more skilled and technical. I have been training in the martial arts all of my life and I feel my students should be well rounded. My students will not only learn jiu-jitsu, but they will learn wrestling, judo, boxing, muay thai kickboxing, and self-defense against weapons. 

  At C.C. Corey jiu-Jitsu, we believe that actions speak louder than words, especially in an industry that has many want-a-be's, frauds and con-artists masquerading as martial arts instructors. At C.C. Corey jiu-Jitsu, we don't have to pay other martial arts schools to live of off their names. When you train here you learn from someone who has been teaching jiu-jitsu and MMA for 17 years, not from someone who took a weekend crash course from a big name school and now thinks he's qualified to teach it.

  My students have done very well in competition, winning many medals, trophies and even professional purses. Some of the students I have taught over the years are  T.J. Sykes, Mitch Knowles, Ben Goodrich,Terry Cohens, Brandon McMurry, Joe Musterd, Craig Lail,Corey Wilson, Ben Cromer, and Scott Basci and Shade Ward to name a few. Some of these students you may have seen fight on T.V., and all of them have been written about in news articles.

  Our school, however, is not for everyone. If you're into collecting belts,we're not for you. In 17 years I have awarded only 8 brown belts and one black belt. Just getting a green belt is a high accomplishment in my school, for the knowledge and skill I expect out of my students is quite high. if you would rather look good than be good, we're not for you. If you're a want-a-be or a poser don't waste my time. If you're afraid of a few bumps and bruises, don't waste my time. But, if you're serious about learning how to fight and how to defend yourself for real on the street where it really counts, then we are for you.
